About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join Tweezr’s core engineering team. You’ll design and build scalable backend systems, power our core code analysis engine, and collaborate with product and AI teams to bring innovation into some of the most complex banking and mainframe environments.
What you bring
5+ years of backend development experience.
Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar.
Expertise in databases and distributed architectures.
Solid understanding of object-oriented design, clean coding, and software engineering concepts.

About the role
We’re hiring a Head of Machine Learning to define and lead Tweezr’s ML strategy. You’ll guide our research and productization of AI for mainframe and legacy systems, build and scale the ML team, and work closely with engineering and product leadership
What you bring
6+ years in ML/Data Science, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
Expertise in LLMs, generative AI, and ML workflows.
Proven track record in managing and scaling ML teams.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Strong expertise in large-scale ML systems.
M.Sc. / PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
Hands-on experience in model development and deployment pipelines.

About the role
We’re looking for a Mainframe Expert to bridge legacy systems with next-gen AI. You’ll use your deep COBOL/mainframe expertise to help our engineering and ML teams model how core banking systems actually work - and guide clients through safe, high-impact modernization.
What you’ll do
Encode expertise into AI: Teach our system to infer process/control/data flows and decision logic from code, JCL, logs, and traces (not hands-on COBOL dev).
Map integration patterns: Define and validate online (CICS, IMS TM, MQ, 3270/TN3270, TCP/IP) and batch (JCL, schedulers, GDGs, restart) behaviors end-to-end.
Cover platforms & data: Clarify differences across IBM z/OS (CICS/IMS, DB2, VSAM) and IBM i / AS-400 / iSeries (RPG/ILE, CL, DB2 for i, data queues, journaling).
Ground-truth the AI: Call out where interpretations are right/wrong, build pattern catalogs, and set precision/recall targets for flow and rule extraction.
Client-facing validation: Explain findings, triage gaps, and co-design improvements (e.g., traces, wrappers, z/OS Connect, façade patterns).
What you bring
Curiosity and excitement for the capabilities AI is introducing to the world of software development, while appreciating the limitation of what it can cannot deliver.
Extensive IBM mainframe experience (z/OS, DB2, IMS) and ecosystem tooling.
Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, and JCL; familiarity with VSAM and MQ.
Strong understanding of mainframe architecture, performance, reliability, and security.
Ability to guide integrations between mainframe and modern platforms (APIs, events, data).
Clear problem-solving and collaborative communication with cross-functional teams.
Financial-services or other enterprise-scale systems experience.
Great to have
Exposure to AI/ML-assisted program analysis, code transformation, or rules extraction (BPMN/DMN).
IBM i (AS/400) background: RPG/ILE, CL, subsystems/job queues; mentoring/consulting experience.
Modernization strategies: APIs/Wrappers, z/OS Connect EE, CICS/IMS web services, and event bridges.
